I fortunately don't have any glitch problems, however the ferrous rings do work, I work at the phone company for 29 years and they use them all the time..
Alot of the guys, put there rings on the motor leads, this motors on the CP's due put out some signal interefence, Usually, it depends on what channel you're using.
The site with the main shaft straighten-er upper thing. It's a good, idea, the one in the picture sure looks home made, nothing wrong with that... Bet I could make one out of hardwood, a couple thumb screws and a few main shaft bearings.
