Buddy Box Battery Conversion . . . Is it possible?
Hello fellow RCers. I recently purchased a Futaba Skysport T4YF buddy box radio. I also picked up a battery and a charger to go with it because the USB cord I'm using requires that the Buddy Box be supplied with power as the USB cord doesn't provide power. So anyway, here's where I need your help.
I'd like to somehow make is so that when I want to use the Buddy Box with the simulator I can simply plug the charger into the transmitter and go w/o worrying about having a battery in the transmitter at all.
THANKS FOR THE REPLY BELOW. THAT REALLY HELPED, BUT NOW I HAVE ONE MORE QUESTION:
Could I simply cut the transmitter charging jack off the Futaba wall charger, solder a J Connector onto that and then plug it in? The wall charger acts as an AC/DC (\m/) converter anyway so could I save myself some money doing it that way? I have an extra charger laying around.
Thanks in advance
