Oh my! Just got a Evga Geforce 7600 GT KO. I had a GF 7300GS. I knew it would be better than what I had but wow! If you don't have a current card, I'd consider getting something like this. At less than $150 I'd say it's the best investment I've made for FSone. For me personally, my frame rates went from an average of about 30 before to 95 now! (I'm at 1600x1200) But it's the level of detail that is even more incredible. With image quality set to "high quality", anti-aliasing at 8x and anisotropic filters at 16x, it's beyond words. Hats off to the guys for this!

With the old card, I found that if the aircraft was more than say, 25ft away, the jaggies were just enough to distort things so that it didn't look quite that great. Things did however look OK up close. Once I moved to the 7600GT, the detail in both views went through the roof! Sometimes I just like to taxi around myself to take a look at the incredible detail of the planes LOL... $.02

Ken-

Ken, what are the specs on the rest of your system? I'm interested because I just ordered a 7600GT also, but my system is fairly old with an AMD Athlon XP3200+ chip. How much system RAM do you have and how much on the card? Off topic, but I agree with Scott's advice to Quinoa, in general. Much as I like FSOne, I'd still recommend trying it out if possible, before buying. Even check Ebay for a cheaper used sim before jumping into FSOne. After you've become a little more familiar with flying a sim, then drop the coin needed for a good computer and FSOne. At that point, I know you won't regret it. My opinion, only.
