I was out for over 10 years..

When I started again last year I played with FMS sim and real flight G3 till I worked past the dumb thumbs stage..

My step-son Alex and I joined a local club and worked with an instructor until I could solo again.
I was back to solo status within 5 flights (it's like riding a bike man)
Alex is still in training with an Eagle II.
An Avistar served as my return to flight trainer.
I flew the avistar for the rest of that first summer and traded it off for a Cloud Dancer this winter..


If you don't feel comfortable flying the Ultra sport I'd pick up a 4*40 or an Avistar as a trainer
Swipe the motor and gear from the ultrasport and fly that thing till the nerves go away and you wonder if the next maneuver will rip something off the plane.
The CD is a blast.. To be honest I would have crashed it if I'd started back with it.
