The triton is a great charger, but the biggest thing is it does not balance lipo's.... the #2 cell on my heli is always low (probably because of the extra heat like you are talking about). It could result in a dangerous situation without a balancer. The stock charger is a balancer, and also the equnix works well with the triton. Hopefully that helps a bit.

What balancer were you using, and with what charger? The reason why I am asking is because I am putting together all of this info. Thanks!
