Tune/Hop-ups: Everyone says elec is easier. That's only if you choose it to be. Both Nitro and electric cars have plentiful options; even when only drifting. If you don't like tuning, electric has LESS that NEEDS to be done, but don't count it out if you like modifying. All you really HAVE to do with nitro is make sure your gas mixture is right (extra lean) and clean it a lot. People consider cleaning as maintenance. It's just cleaning. So, there isn't a whole lot to go into nitro either.

Price: Depends. If you get a TT01 with ABS, you can be drifting for about $150 or less. However, if you get a TC5 or MR4TC or something a bit better, and run drift rings or such, your $$$$ investment will be right up there with Nitro. The advantage to elec as far as pricing is that once you have your fuel source (battery, charger), you don't have to buy it again. Also, you can run a higher turn motor and stay on the cheap with ABS/PVC tires. With Nitro, you run outta fuel, you gotta buy more. And you have to have drift radials to drift. Not a HUGE price, but it'll add up.
Lots of very good info, but its extra rich, not extra lean and there isn't a problem with running PVC or ABS with nitro, its what I do.[sm=biggrin.gif]
I've been drifting nitro for a little over a year now and it works very well. And I totally agree with you Neon, if you want to drift nitro you are going to need plenty of room to do it, it is extremely hard to do the really technical stuff like really small figure 8's with nitros.
