I ran onto the same as you...ground affect. I put the training wheels back on for basement. I can't believe I tipped it over...never done that before. I got the CG taken care of, the tail wag taken care of...now to address the flutter I see in the training wheels (might be ground affect too).
I got the J3 set for full travel on the flight controls and I got the controls zeroed to the trims on the TX. It's ready for a cruise in the wild blue. Right now, I'm going to just use the stock TX/RX combo. It's good for about 1600ft range according to what I've read. Although a cheap radio...it seems to be glitch free and works like it's supposed to....I'll wait to put the AR6000 in it and use the DX6.

Crashcrash,
Superskids: It's like starting over again, with any modification it takes time to get use to it... I've got them on both of my heli, really like them. Since my last 2 disasters, both were in the basement, I now have one set up for BASEMENT ONLY and it has the training gear on. It's only a 10 X 10 foot area that has no obstacles, plus with a lot of ground effects, I only get about 10 or 12 seconds of stable flight, then the turbulence gets bad, and the heli gets a little hard to control... I set 'er down for 10 seconds to let tubulence settle and start over again..
