LT-40 aileron alignment problem
I sure could use some advice on an aileron alignment problem. I'm getting ready to measure/cut my aileron servo push rods. During test fitting, I noticed the torque rods were offset from each other at over an 1/8 of an inch. They don't line up evenly. When I made the torque rod groove on my original ailerons they were pretty sloppy. So I made new ailerons with much better grooves and re-cut the slots for the hinges. I re-measured everything. Slid on the ailerons and taped popsicle sticks on them to put them in a neutral position, so I could mark the servo push rods for cutting. I screwed on the nylon aileron connectors on the torque rods per the manual. Then srewed on the the nylon connector link halfway on the threaded end of the servo push rod and snapped on the torque rod connectors, as per the manual. I find the torque rods do not match evenly. They are at least an 1/8 inch offset from each other. To get these line up as evenly as possible, should I screw the connector link further to get them as even as possible? I'm using 1 servo to operate both ailerons. This seems to be the only option to get everything mechanically right without using my RX to compensate for the difference. Thanks for you help.
