The screws on my machine are super tight. I guess I'll have to put the power to them but still think the head of screws will strip.

I had to remove the grips on mine also, the screws are loaded with locktite! I had to remove the head and have my wife hold it so it woldn't turn while I used two screw drivers to get it loose, it was a PITA! The heads held up but I was using good screw drivers.
