Wick246,
My Trex is a 450X, kinda like bottom of the line, for a Trex.. However, I got it at a very good price with the DX6 system. It was a package deal, for like $450. That was 6 months or so ago, now they have the 450XL for a tad more, with the DX6 Spectrum system.
See the link, the Spectrum Package, about 3/4 down the page, two versions, Kit form, build it yourself for $499, or RTF for $725.

It Hovers/Flys just great, a dream come true. You can't really compare the Blades to a Trex. The Trex wins by a very large margin.
It's not for indoors, unless you're in a super advanced class.
When you decide to advance, get a Trex, you won't be sorry. The Trex is by far the most popular Heli, in the world.. Parts are readily available and inexpensive.

Chopper which T Rex do you have? How is it set up and how does she fly? I know this is a CP thread but you don't mention that one much.
Off to visit the parents and have dinner. Back tonight to work on my project cp's while watching the new Planet Earth? show on the Discovery Channel tonight. Hope you all had a good Sunday...
