That sounds possible. I had the heli and the radio right next to each other on the rock wall in front of my house. Didn't even think about them being so close. And when it happened in the garage the heli and radio were about 2 feet apart (heli in one hand and radio in the other). I will try to do some testing with TX and RX further apart.
