for a starter, i would recommend an electric like a t/b4 or a xxxt or maybe a rusty. they are easier than the nitro because of no tuning, they are cheaper if you looking to buy two, and if they want insane speed they can go brushless(absolutely no maintenance) i love my brushless t4 as well as my revo. just my opinion[8D]
