Don't remove the discharge plug. Instead get yourself a jst plug and solder your deans plug on that. This way you have a pigtail made and if you ever get another mini/micro that has the original battery plug you won't have to solder more connectors. I made a pigtail so I can still use the stock batteries as well as the lipos. Most helis have that jst/bec type connector, The Axe is an annomaly.
