Dar...of course my way is "wrong"......because it's not the way that you would do it! Hey...Kweasel does it that way too, and I know that he knows his "stuff"

Actually, I do it both ways...so I'm only "wrong" half the time! (If I were a politician, that would be a pretty good record, huh!)

JP...I don't think anybody actually answered your question though? (I'll bet that's a first on RCU! haha)
Paul McIntosh (Mr. RC-Bearings) would probably be able to give you the actual temp. that the rubber (or whatever material the seal is made of) would be able to withstand before damage. I don't think we need to get the bearing anywhere near that temp. though, for what we are doing.
