Hi Herb, just got back...that's odd, I've never had any trouble gluing the Robart strut covers with plastic model cement. I don't know if CA works or not (don't see why it wouldn't), never used it or the Plasti-Zap you mentioned.
Maybe they changed the plastic the struts are made of so you have to use their glue...
