Default RE: How fast will this Diamond Dust go??

lots of nice fast deltas there

I will be joining this delta system for speed as my eyes get to tired to do the smaller hot f5b electric types and a lot of the fields I fly from cant really do pylon class 40 as too rough

I suspect that 150mphto 165 mph in a dive is tops for most 46 powered craft if the prop is sub 20k
The drag from a craft of this size would be some ~1.5kg to~2kg at 150 to 165mph and the motor unloaded in the dive not doing so much work or giving thrust plus the natural terminal dive speed ~150 to ~165mph (which normally needs some 15 seconds to achieve motor off for this type of craft ) all points to it very hard to break through the natural terminal speed of the craft unless you got serious HP like 3 BHP upwards and most 46 motors are sub ~2 bhp often ~1 bhp and thats with small props like 7*7 or 6*6 at some ~20k plus rpm

Down wind dives with following winds of 25 mph can push the figures higher to say 180mph but relative to the air its still the same speed

However 150mph to 165 mph is fast really fast and is a football pitch in 1.5 seconds as 100mph is a football pitch in two seconds

Whats is also fast but not guite so fast probably 110 mph is a converted twinjet with a 25 glow better a 32 glow reverse pitch 7.5 *6 and that is cheap and fun fast and quick to build

I hope to make a twin jet version with my 25fx when funds allow
twinjet electrics have done 1300 watts plus more power than 46 class motors but I ant never seen a 46 on a twin jet yet
plus no room for long type tuned pipes

later in the future make a MVVV 40 quirky and tuned pipe with this idea and type of delta

I have all the materials for the planes including the carbon rods it just the time and suitable motors

any site with good plans let me know
