OK Mike,

That's good news on the belly being a sheeted foam core. That will make it fast to build, very ridgid and lighter than a glass pan...cool. As far as the hatch being full length to the firewall, you make valid points on strength. If and when you get an opporitunity maybe throw up some detailed pics of the new creation, such as the chin cowl arrangement and the belly/pipe tunnel configuration.

Thanks Mike, are you having fun doin' this airplane thing? That's the most important part.
