I would be carefull about getting to "spiffy" on the controlls with this plane. It is a veary straight forward flyer, and I'm not sure about the aerodynamics of this plane. With the flaps deployed the elevator gets a little soft, nothing drastic, but with full length flaps it might make it ineffective all togeather.

This plane is veary fun to fly and is pretty aerobatic for what it is. It really does fly like it's full scale counterpart, and I think you would be happy with it with traditional controlls!
