You can make just about anything smoke. All you need to do is get some oil hot enough to reach its smoking point. The challenge with a 46 is that they do not create a LOT of heat, and since the hot exhaust is blown out of the muffler on each stroke (As opposed to every other on a 4-stroke) the oil doesn't get much time to spend in the hot gasses.
I have never had time to play with smoke on a small 2-stroke but it's something I want to do in the future (If I ever get time! )

PS, a 4oz tank won't give you smoke for a very long time, but it should give you a minute or two (Keep in mind that when you turn it on and off,, two minutes can be a long time - kinda like the last 2 minutes of a football game (American Football)
