Hello, folks:
I am writing this with an iBook, but I have Linux boxes and a Winbox. I gotta point out that there is a Mac sim - "RC Helicopter Simulator 1.82" by AlphaMacSoftware.com. It can be demo'd before purchase (about 30 euro). It seems to be fairly good with the Raptor model (heli). I think this software is native Mac.
Also, I just today stumbled upon another "tri-lingual" software. "CRRCsim" at
www.CRRCsim.sourceforge.com has Linux, Mac and Windows versions. My main box is running Linux so I downloaded the source, compiled and ran it. It does real well with gliders - very realistic. It has decent graphics and has thermals, wind, gusts, etc. The models can be altered but bewarned, you gotta speek some geek!
But it also has some standard power models - foamies, deltas, pattern and the like. But no helicopters. I have not run the Mac verision - yet.
And ----- it is free.
Cheers,
Jerry
