RealFlight Deluxe Controller
Okay, so my old dog of a computer is on its last legs, and I am moving my copy of RF Deluxe to my wife's computer. No money for G2 at this point, as we're both in grad school. I bought a gameport/USB adapter at RadioShack (no gameport on the wife's computer) and installed the sim and fired it up. The signal in from the elevator was real noisy, and I figured it was something in the USB adapter. Well, I put the controller back on my old computer and it still had the noise (no USB adapter). I haven't used RealFlight in a while, so don't know when this problem really started.
I opened up the controller and checked voltages on each of the potentiometers, and everything looks okay. I guess that means its something in the cable? A short somewhere? When I'm looking at the RealFlight calibration screen, it jumps around from 0% to 50% or 100% signal, without moving the stick.
I guess my question is, has anyone else had trouble with noise/shorts in their controllers? Any suggestions?
Thanks
