Default RE: IS IT WORTH IT?????

The TT01 is a good begginner (to rc) car. If you have rc experience, I'd go with something else. It's price and availability makes it a great intro level car. But, the MR4TC stock BD can drift circles around a fully hopped-up TT01. And the only real functional hop-up for the MR4TC is stage 1 (suspension upgrade). The rest are more "show than go" cuz the car really needs little. It can't really be much better than what it is. Now, the other stages do change things. Then, you get the SSG, which is a lighter chassis. And that will change the entire dynamic of your drift. Personally, I like girth in my drift so I don't really dig the SSG too much. But, I like girth in my 1:1 drift as well, hence, I'm good with a Z.

However, the YOKOMO car is not pratcal unless you live in Cali or Japan. It's expensive and most LHS's don't carry parts for it. The TT01 is pretty much found everywhere. TT01 is at one end of the spectrum and the Yok is at the other.

That being said, there are a host of nice cars in between the two.
