Our lives would be so much easier if plane designers built the fuselage to a proper length ;>
OR if the motors used anything remotely resembling a "standard" as far as mounting....jeez.
Try to design a plane to accept everything....sometimes the best solution isn't what everyone else is doing. But I do love the look of carbon, and cool supports and stuff...I just hate building it, especially when the motor is likely to be swapped out and replaced with 15 different types.
Torque on these things sucks. It scares the bejesus out of me every time I see a massive outrunner mounted only by the nose of the plane. Seen way too many fail. Seen em fail with tons of carbon and supports too.
There just has to be a better standard than mounting to a nose....
