RE: RADIO HELP NEEDED! HOW MANY CHANNELS?
You know, I must add this for the original poster.
I am in a GREAT mood since I spent the end of the day flying with the people who have helped me along in the hobby...and one AWESOME 3D heli guy.
To the OP:
This hobby can take you almost anywhere. Only YOU know YOU. Get a radio that will work for what you THINK you want to do for the next 12 months. If it's the wrong choice, get another one.
I am still a beginner. I fly nearly every single day and I am really not that good at what I want to be good at, (rolling harriers), but I will get there someday....AND THAT IS ONLY ON FOAM!! I have YEARS before I will attempt low rollers with a REAL airplane. It really takes a long time, hundreds of hours and, let's face it,...Thousands of dollars to do what we all want to do.
Your radio is like a Saddle, an easy-chair, a mattress or a car. It's something you must be comfortable with in order to enjoy completely. Everything is expensive. Know your priorities and live by them, but if this is one of them, it won't really matter what radio you buy. You will fly anyway....all of us do.
Good Luck!!
