The brake function on the standard Hacker and Jeti controllers only stops the prop. The competition Hacker and jeti Spin have programmable brake. I am using the standard Jetis so no programmable brake, I just set idle as slow as I can get and then usually have to add a little throttle to control sink rate on landing.
