Default RE: Extreme Flight 88" Yak - Build and Fly

ORIGINAL: diamondave

thanks mokken...

what ever came of the problems some had with loose ball links, or control horns? the hardware has been good in the past with ef, are some of you using other stuff just as preference? do i need to replace anything else? i am going to be ordering some crap soon just want to try not to forget anything and have to pay shipping twice for a small clevis or something stupid, thanks again...
There was never a problem with the control horns. Some have reported a little, and I mean a little slop in the supplied 3mm ball links that are attached to the control. I used HD Dubro 4-40 ball links on the servo arms and the supplied 3mm ball links on the control horn. You could purchase Dubro 3mm HD ball links to use on the control horns, some have reported that they don't have the slop in the ball itself. You would need 6 - 3mm ball links for the control horns and 6- 4-40 ball links for the servo arms. Some have said they drilled there servo arm out for 3mm, I see no point in ruining a servo arm that you may use on another plane. The 4-40 ball links work just fine with the titanium control rods, a little tight going on, but no issues.
