well, what ratio are you trying to achieve and what are you trying to get out of your motor. On a 35t motor, I was running a 70/30 gearing setup. Rule of thumb, spur up, pinion down. But, if you want a particular ratio, then gear it for that. My 19t gear ratio is 72/26. It all depends on what you want.
