A 5.7 Volvo is a Chevy based engine. Mercruiser, Volvo, OMC, Crusader and Marine Power all use Chevy base engine. They all come from the same factory, just each marine company add their own accessories and sometimes swap out the cams. The standard horsepower on those engines is 250 - 320. 375 is a lot for a 5.7......yours must be modified.
