Actually, that 32 is more powerful than the 40 LA, and probably not much shy of the 52 four stroke, but the 52 is heavier than either engine. Having seen one with a plain bearing .25, the 40 will be plenty, and the LA is pretty light.

Ed, is the issue that you haven't bought the 40 and you're hoping to avoid an extra purchase? Because switching engines between planes is a nuisance, and I would much rather the extra engine and have two planes ready to fly.
