RE: Protech Tojeiro-90 build. The last one?
So, today I flew again using the hardware which came from my old Infinity-90 for the ailerons. By using this, I eliminated all play which was there. Also, I used hinge tape for ailerons, elevators and rudder.
I was amazed by the effect of the hinge tape. The ailerons are much more effective!
I was hoping using the hinge tape would also cure a bit of the tendency to snap when for instance going up in a square loop when not flying too fast. But it doesn't. Seems like the weight is not helping here. The only option left is to replace the landing gear by carbon. For the rest there are not many options in reducing weight. I will let you all know if I do it if it helps.
The other day I also flew my 2 m F3A plane. It flies so much better then the Tojeiro! Now you might think this is because it is a 2 meter ship, and the Tojeiro isn't. But the Fliton Infinity was about the same size and it only showed little difference with the 2 m ship. The Tojeiro is a straight flying plane and is good, but it would be much better IMHO if it lost half a kilogram!
