HiTec HS-55 Servo Modification, When Using the Blade CP/ CPPro Stock Transmitter
*This modification is not necessary when using a Programmable Transmitter, servo direction can
be reversed in one of the menus items..
The HS-55 servos turns in the opposite direction than the stock S75's that come with the Blade
CP/CPPro. There is a wiring modification that changes this for the Blade Series.
Warning: If you don’t have good soldering skills or are timid working with 28 or 30 gauge wire
in a cramped area, this may not be for you... There is an alternative method, I’ll mention that at
the end of the wiring modification.
The process is straight forward, and only four wires are involved, two for the servo motor and
two for the circuit board servo travel control.
TEST EACH SERVO, BEFORE AND AFTER MODIFICATION:
PROCESS:
1) Take a piece of masking tape and run it from one side of the servo case, around the front of the
servo(where the servo arm attaches) and to the other side of the servo case. This will hold the
front of the servo case on, after you remove the screws of the case..
2) Remove 4 screws that hold the servo case together.
3) Gently remove the back of the servo case.. This will expose the wiring and the small circuit
board.
SEE PICTURE::
4) At the top of the servo (small green dot, that’s the motor), cut the red and black wires at mid
point. Strip the wires and tin them.( You can use shrink tubing or a tiny piece of electrical tape to
insulate the wires) Reverse them, Black to Red, Red to Black. Solder.
5)At the bottom of the servo, you’ll see three leads, a Red, Yellow and Green wire..
DO NOT CUT THE YELLOW WIRE:::It’s a signal lead and does not require modification:
6) Same as step 4 concerning soldering... Cut the Red and Green wires. . Red to Green, Green to
Red.
7) This is the tedious part, put the back of the servo case back on.. Reinstall the four screws, take
the tape off..
That should be it...
Test each servo to make sure that your work has been done correctly.
ALTERNATIVE METHOD: Servo Reversing Cable
Mrsamm, provided this link to the Servo Reversing Cable.

The only factor is the cost, $9.99 each plus shipping,, a little less then the cost of a servo
The Servo Reverser is a quick and easy way to reverse the motion of the servo and it is ideal for flyers
who do not have a computerized transmitter
My verbiage may be lacking, if there is something you don’t understand, PM me.
