Too bad about the landing gear, it really looks cool with it. I also read that the 13x6 is perfect for 3d'ing. I just put mine on but it looks like I will not get to fly this week (bad weather).

I believe I get about 15-20 mins/tank with 30/30 heli fuel but have not timed it (still not enough) and thats while I'm practicing hovering and torque rolling (its doable with 12x8 but I think 13x6 will make it easier, 12x8 is good for pattern flying though).

I have not weighed it, but here's a funny thing. I placed battery behing the wing and plane balanced 4 1/2" from leading edge(1/4" past what's recommended), and it flew like it was nose heavy. I put 1 oz. lead in tail (balance is 4 3/4" back now) and it flys much better. I believe I can move cg back farther and it will fly even better. I will play with cg more when I get to fly

There was one thread where a guy was using an Irvine 53 and was complaining it did not have enough poop, but he thought he had a bum motor. This is my first 4-stroke and I'm glad I put it on this plane, but I think it would perform the same with an Irvine 53.
