i have 2 simple rules when it comes to used engines. Never pay more then 50 cents on dollar and know the person your getting it from. I have thrown engines in the trash because I would not sell them to someone knowing they had an issue but other people may not be quite as honest. For a 25% savings, I would stick with new.
