Being a quest at an out-of-town field
The only out of town field that I've flown at so far is the one back in my home town (Norman, OK). I go there on a fairly regular basis so I figured I should make friends before I went up there for Christmas. Emailed the president of the club and asked what I needed to do to be able to fly a few times a year and all he said was to bring a plane and my AMA card. Nice people. Almost makes me want to go again, but I'd be visiting in-laws so I'm not sure it's worth it. :-)
