RE: How to remove scratches from clear canopies??
??????? I tried some of these ideas recently with NO luck. How long do you guys rub/polish with these scratch removers. I tried some Maguiers and toothpaste. Both left the pastic hazy with very, very fine scratches in the plastic......looks worse than when i started. I cleaned this area very well and then painted a very light coat of Lustercoat clear onto the area. Now the area has a speckled, frosted textured look to it. I know....Lustercoat is not the greatest but clear should be clear.....right. The Canopy is for a 35% Pitts M12 and I'm slowly making it much worse than it was when i started. The original scratches/blemishes were not big or deep. Several areas only had "scuff" marks that I was trying to clean up.....lol..... HELP......
