I've lowered the value to 3.0A and the charging process completed successfully.

I'm using a PC Power Supply to power my Triton.

In the Data View Menu, the input is 11.75V. The power supply is rated +12V, 8A.

I've shorted an orange and a red wire (so that the fan always runs).

I've connected a hard drive and a CD-ROM to the power supply.

PS Yellow cable to Triton's red cable (+)
PS Black cable to Triton's black cable (-).

Thanks
It would appear that you are putting to much load on the PC Power Supply 12 volt line if it works at 3 Amps but not at 5 amps.
