the yard stick flyer is nice but i was hoping someone suggest a plane that is a little more challenging and fun to fly. a nice trainer should not be out of my reach for a first time plane.
I was hoping the same thing when I went to my lhs to buy. Like you, I have much sim time but when the lhs found out I had never flown he insisted that I buy the slow stick. He was right. Also the slow stick is only $30 and you can buy the glider stick for parts for only $20. You "will" need parts lol. I flew my sim for over a year before I flew the slow stick, I needed parts.
