Default RE: Less expensive opto engine kill switch

Well he needs to resolve his RF problem before anything else, but now you've got me wondering.

My ED requires that the tx and rx be turned on to switch on the ignition power, but unless I program the failsafe for the channel I'm using for the kill switch to off (at least I think that will work) the ignition does not turn off when the tx is shut down. I'm using a 9 channel Futaba rx which has channel 9 as on/off not proportional, so that is what activates the ED switch.

My own thought is that the failsafe should cut the throttle to a low setting, but I don't want the engine being killed by the kill switch should I encounter temporary glitches which might cause the rx to failsafe.

How are you programming/using your kill switch?
