Hi, The LHS has the gws tailmotor, heatsink and tailblade/adapter in stock. He says I can just use the stock motor housing and it will work with the gws motor and tailblade/adapter, anyone else use this setup? I notice that after doing the DD mod the tail rotor is now on the left but using the stock housing it would be on the right, does this matter? Will the pinion from a stock cp pro motor fit on the shaft of the gws motor if I wanted to use the stock direct drive setup? One last really silly question, I stocked up on a few stock tail motors so I was wondering if the difference in the gws motor will be so noticeable that I should put on the upgrade right away or use my stock setup untill I burnout my stock tail motors? Thanks Rick

If you want to use DD, it doesn't have a pinion... That why it's called Direct Drive (maybe I have what you are saying down backwords or something.

It's up to you on the stock motors. If you used the stock tail holder, then it would be an easy change out, and you could just try it, and that would probably answer your q.

As far as the left/right orientation of the tail. Most people prefer the prop on the left side of the motor because it blows the air over the motor keeping it cooler, but it's not really that big of a deal. Just do what crash said =)

As far as anyone else using the stock tail setup... I just posted a pic, and that's what kyle stacy uses =)
