RE: Wheeeeeeee.......... Blade CP!
Yes, the power train has to be robust but I look at it from the point where I'm very cautious...not really go for broke,,,so by the time I get her in her rightful habitat I don't expect any nasty surprises and if my concentration does flicker it's blades and flybar if'n you do it near right. Lotta simulator time too.
The first thing to give trubble was the swashplate...there was too much clearance so I got the mH head complete and installed just the swash. With the extra balance weights out there at the flybar paddles mechanical flying quality improved greatly....the little bit of "fairly new" slop remaining is tolerable and I'm still on the original driveshaft and gear.....so I've been lucky.
The DD tail seemed the logical next move so here I am.
Question:
The GWS head.....in the last couple of months I've seen mention of another installation....I have their V2 and it's supposed to be a "direct replacement" for the Pro system...somewhere, there is mention of some slight rearrangement from standard required in the B-H system. I've looked at mine and it would seem to be a direct repl. with no apparent mods needed......OR AM I MISSING SOMETHING...?
I'm going to keep it in its jig and attempt the linkages and all and see if what input goes in gives the right output.
Gotta figure out what that washout system does....never worked on one before.....
Any good close photos of the install.
