Default RE: Hangar 9 Twist 3D Part II - Thread Continuation

The Twist flew great. done many touch n goes this am. then the wind got to blowing like crazy.... I get a little crazy when the wind blows too .... I love to hang on the prop and watch the wind blow it across the field. That is what i was doing .. hanging on prop and laffing at it going with the wind. It got out about 100 yards or so and fell out of the hover. I thought she was inverted so gave full down, hammered throttle .... only problem ........ it was not inverted .. she dove straight into the ground.... dumb thumbs, messing around to close to the ground out that far, and old eyes I guess. The correct CG, at least for mine was 5.25. it flew excellent, and was very stable in the high gusty wing. I am the cause of its demise! .... should have known better cause out that far, I have trouble anymore with orientation when it tips over. old age (71) and diabetes is taking its toll on the vision i guess (not an excuse). dunno if i will replace it or not. i think i am about twisted out for a while. Maybe next fall when all the snow birds come back down again, I'll get another one. U know... ya win some nd ya lose some .. thems the breaks aye!!!

again guys .. thanks for all the information and help
