I doubt you'll get the performance you're looking for with those components in another plane, but if you get a plane that has an all up weight that's almost identical to the Typhoon you just might. If you get a plane that is slightly lighter it should have a better power to weight ratio, which would result in better 3D flight.

Something else you could consider is picking up a used Tx and getting a $250 package deal from [link]http://www.fancyfoam.com[/link]. Their planes fly really well and include everything for the plane(ie. servos, ESC, motor, battery, Rx). You'd still need a charger, but might be able to use the charger that came with the Typhoon bychanging connectors, I'm not sure.
