Default RE: What are the basic principles & methods to fly a Gasser?

Hello Mody,

Gassers are usually 2-stroke. Some of them have a Magnito ignition system which requires no battery and some have electronic ignition, which does require its own battery.

They have spark plugs so no glow starter is needed.

They all use regular petroleum with oil mixed into it.

The choak closes off the air intake to help the engine draw fuel faster for starting. You close the choak, flip the prop a few times until the engine "pops", then open the choak and flip some more.

Some other differences are that Gas engines need a different fuel line and tank plug than a glow engine because Gasoline will dissolve the silicon fuel tubing and stopper used for glow.

You can use a regular standard servo to operate the throttle.

Is there anything else you would like to know?
