1)ENGINE:.Various, mostly PAW...CARBURETOR: .fixed.. RUN TIME: ..Various....STARTING: ..as few as 2 flips, hot............. USER:Lou Crane.......
Comments:...This is close to factory recommended mix for well-broken-in PAW 1BB or 2BB engines. With 25% total oil, it works well in well-broken-in plain bearing PAW engines.
2)ENGINE:.............CARBURETOR:.........RUN TIME: ...........STARTING:........................ .. USER:...................
Comments: Good starting, easy setting, dependable fuels mixed from John Deere starting ether, campstove kero, SIG AA Castor and AN from Clutton (in USA). John Deere starting ether claims to be 80% high quality technical ether (diethyl?), and blends volume-adjusted for that % do well, dependably.
Additional user observations:
Nickname :None............... Observation: The high vapor pressure of the ether fraction complicates use with uniflow type tank venting in CL flying -characterized by long (up to 7+ minutes) running full-bore at optimum setting - most recent experience indicates non-uniflow tank venting works better. Diesels have ample fuel draw to live with the changes of dynamic fuel head in CL flight if tank width is kept reasonable.
