Knowing vert little about it, I think the problem would be flexing. That's why so many serious heli guys go for carbon fiber at a huge increase in price. My carbon fiber set was $80 and the wood set was about $18. Both work, but a lot less likely to hit the boom on a hard landing, I guess.
