RE: Alternative AXE CP parts
Scalegraphix,
I was hoping that you would say that! From what I've heard, there shouldn't be any fitting or balancing required, and the heavyer (sp? more weight) should have the same effect as adding weights to the fly bar (that's what I need is a more sluggish bird, that and the HH gyro setup and maybe i can get my hover down to less than twenty feet). "The Stratcat' says they mellow the bird out some (thanks Strat).
I would have expected more lift out of the flat blades. Anyone out ther using them notice any appearent lift increase?
On a different vane: Anybody have suggestions on alternate Heading Hold Gyros to the Futaba GY240? I'm using the stock radios and intend to follow the Heli-max HH setup with a seperate ESC for the tail motor, driven by the HH gyro.
On yet another vane (just pull my xmitter chrystal when you get tired of listening to me...): Just what all do you need to get rid of the 3-in-1 board and 'go seperates'? 1) gyro function taken over by the HH, 2) another ESC/BEC for the stock brushed motor, 3) use the stock radios, so got the rcvr, what else is there and would it be worth it? What about brands, are there cheaper, but reliable substitutions, or do we stay with Futaba and eFlight ( I'm not really anti-Tower Hobbies, but I would like to have enough money left over to retire someday..... oops, wrong hobby)
O.K. I'm tired now, time for a nap.... (we old guys are like that, your time's commin')
Thanks guys
P.S. Scale, from what I've heard if you keep the JCS, you may not need a spare set of blades. They're supposed to be nigh on to indestructable!
