To answer your first question: yes it will stick to balsa. Excellent for scale fillets and panel lines. I prefer to use Rage by Fiberglass-Evercoat over the Bondo brand, but both are polyester products. Rage weighs less. I don't recall using it as an adhesive, but it would probably not be my first choice.
