Hey Zack, I bought the same last summer and really had fun buiding the eco 8. The large size with 41" rotor is pretty awesome. It's my first rc chopper... It's an education putting one of these things together but the initimate knowledge of its construction helps put the beast back together when something breaks. I took the simple route and used the "purple bull" motor, servos, and esc recommended by Hobby Lobby, where I bought the kit. As a trainer, I think the mechanical mixer works fine although I had to modify the way the servo links to it. It hovers and flys very well =) I hope to get some images up as I rebuild my personal web page. Ed
