Default RE: Alternative AXE CP parts

Hi JJP9398,

Ah nice to know! I just bent my Axe CP tail boom twice, third time it looked like an "L"..tried to make it straight and it broke on my hands. So these needles you say at Walmart, how much they cost? Because the damn boom costs $16 bucks, not worth it at least to me, and the CF boom $27 even worse. I fixed mine for the time being with the tail boom from a Walkera 22E, smacked already, but I covered the back part over the ugly smacked area with black heat shrink, looks nice and it works for me... until it get smacked again...hehe...then I'll get me those needles you mentioned.

I also found out a piece of dura-aluminum from an old antenna that's 5/16" inch (7 mm) will work just fine, I got another spare for when that damn tail boom get smacked again..hehe.

I have no idea why this happens. Obviously the blades hit the tail boom, but it must be at the time of a hard landing, because last time it happened to me I didn't see anything wrong while the helicopter was on the air, just after the crash (caused by too much wind) I noticed the tail boom was smacked like that, so bad that it has the shape of an "L"....when I tried to fix it, bang! it broke.... hard many times means fragile.

Regards
