The cowl is very weak; I am at the point of thinking that instead of investing more time on finishing this cowl I would go ordering a fiberglass one.
I ordered the cowl for my Cap from Fiberglass Specialties. There were some lines from the mold that had to be sanded off and filled with a little putty but it is much better and stronger than the thing GP puts in the kit. I would definitely recomend it.
